Dinosaur Gastrolith - 2.397" Gut Stone - 150,000,000 Years Old

Without proper digestive systems, many dinosaurs would ingest stones to aid the breakdown of food in their gut. Known scientifically as gastroliths, the dinosaurs would eventually pass these stones, which would then become fossilized.

This specimen is a 2.397" dinosaur gastrolith from the Morrison Formation in Colorado. It ships in a protective carton, ready for display right out of the box. A specimen card that doubles as a certificate of authenticity is included.
